Busy, busy & pretty boring.....

So I haven't blogged in almost a week! *gasp* Life has been pretty busy actually, and pretty boring at the same time! Not much to blog about I'm afraid.........

I went to the hospital on Friday to take my 3 hour glucose tolerance test. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't fun either LOL. I have yet to hear anything, so I'm hoping that means all is well. I'm such a chicken and refuse to call to find out my results! My guess is that if I had gestational diabetes the office would have called by now since I'm pretty sure they got the results the same day I had the test.......we shall see! I'll know for sure at my next appointment on Wednesday (yikes the 2 week appts have already begun!!).

We went to see little Owen on Sunday. The whole family went pretty much! Then we took turns going back to visit and hold him. He's growing so much and so fast. He's doing great and we hope he gets to go home end of this week or beginning of next. His mommy and daddy are dragging having to go back and forth from home to the hospital. I just can't imagine! But they are doing a great job and Owen is a lucky little boy to have such great parents :D

This week I have had a little bout with 'nesting', so I've been busy cleaning things here and there. Doing my domestic duties *gag* LOL.

I also went to watch my friend's daughter play basketball Monday night and tonight......they are a GREAT group of kids and played so SO well, but they lost both games and are now out of the playoffs :( It was pretty sad since this is probably the last time they will all play together as a team since most will start high school next year.......some will continue playing basketball, and some won't. There were some tears rolling, makes you remember your days in jr high and high school. How important your friends were to you and how you just knew that with most, once you graduated things would never be the same......so sad, but alas it is a rite of passage!

I was hoping to get away to buy the baby's crib and dresser this week, but man again the week has flown by. I know there are two days left in the week......but you know how it is LOL

And on the potty training front......I am happy to report we are making huge strides. I watched my friend's youngest daughter (she is 3 weeks older than Roman) yesterday. She has been potty trained for ages and is a GREAT influence in that aspect for Roman. I didn't change ONE diaper yesterday. I took off his overnight diaper that morning and didn't touch a diaper until bedtime. He did all his business on the toilet.....yes the BIG toilet! He even shooed both Bob and myself from the bathroom when he was doing the #2 LOL.....it's was HILARIOUS! I still don't trust him enough to take him out of the house without a diaper, but we are well on our way and that is good enough for me!

So, that is about all that is going on with me at this point.......I hope something interesting happens in the next few days so you don't have to read more about potty training LOL
