28 Week Appointment

Wow.....this is my first blog post about the soon to be new addition to our home! Today I had my regular 28 week appointment. I also had an ultrasound to check on the squirt's size. My belly is measuring a bit on the big size this time around, so we are making sure I'm not growing a giant in there LOL

The ultrasound showed that I have a great looking boy with LOTS of hair......no big surprise as all of my kids have been born sporting some great looking, long dark hair ;D It was so funny to see his hair waving in the amniotic fluid.....much like our hair does when we are in the tub or pool LOL so funny!

According to the ultrasound, this squirt is weighing in at about 3lbs 8ozs.......does that weight sound familiar? It just so happens to be the same weight my new nephew was when he came into the world at 32 weeks! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I actually saw and recently held a baby about the same size as the one I am now carrying.......phenominal!

3. A yawn! Looking up to his face from below, you see on the right side his nostrils then the big black opening is his mouth open and the round white part in the middle is his lil tongue :D

Hope you enjoyed taking a peek at our new baby boy......we are so excited to finally meet him. But we have a few months yet to wait!

OH and I also failed my 1 hour glucose tolerance test :\ So I have an appointment on Friday to take the dreaded 3 HOUR glucose tolerance test (testing for gestational diabetes). Wish me luck!
