So I am going out on a limb here and sharing with the world that I do believe we have potty training success.........*knocking on wood*
Being a truly brave soul, I decided to try taking Roman out of the house in underpants yesterday. Brave? you are asking yourself......yes BRAVE! Why? Well because we drove almost 2 hours in the van to visit my niece and her lil boy in Pittsburgh! LOL Crazy, I know. But hey, might as well jump with both feet, eh?
He did GREAT! Made the trip and then asked to go when he needed and all that jazz. I would say we are on the path to being done.
I have to admit though, I think he was ready for this earlier than now. I also have to admit that I haven't done it out of pure laziness. It is SO much easier to slap a diaper on the boy when we go out so I'm not worrying about where a bathroom is every place we visit. Add to that the fact that I am officially waddling when I walk and it isn't comfy going at a fast pace to get to the potty on time........not to mention, have you noticed how SMALL those freaking bathroom stalls are now a days? Good grief! I pray everytime he has to go that the handicapped stall is open and not a mess :\
But I bit the bullet yesterday and he did a great job. We ventured out again in underpants today, and once again he did great. Whew!
My goal was to have him at least to this point before the new baby arrives.....looks like I made it! I'm sure Roman will continue to need the diapers or a pull-up of some sort for bedtime, but hey I can deal with that! Dealing with 2 needing diaper changes all day everyday? Not so much LOL

HOLLAA! Go Ro-man, Go Ro-man!
I too am guilty of the laziness - I better get on it and brave the underpants. She does really well, I just fear the clean up!
So happy for Roman :)
Congratulations Romy rome! I too need to force the underpants more but ugh we still have issues with #2 and we all know clean up of any kind sucks ass.
Way to go Roman!
Yeah Roman!! And yeah for mommy too!! Of course it will all start again in a few years with the new little one! ;)
