Fall Time Busy-ness

Why do I feel like my cleaning mode is stuck in Spring and not in Fall? I swear I have been a busy bee this past week tying up loose ends around here, organizing and just cleaning in general. Things I didn't do in the Spring because......oh yeah I had a baby LOL

I mowed the lawn for, I hope, the last time this season. I don't mind at ALL. Especially since I have a snazzy new riding lawn mower. Just pop on the iPod and it's some nice "me" time. How lame is that? LOL But it's so nice to just be alone with my music that I never get to listen to now that I have a toddler and a tween.....you moms know what I mean.

The hall closet got sorted and organized. So I had shoved boxes from the move in there and it was a jumbled mess. Out of sight out of mind right? Well now that the temperature is cooling and we are opening the closet to get jackets more often, it's not so out of sight LOL I even picked up one of those neat 3 drawer plastic things to put hats, gloves and the like in. I figured that I can wheel it into the laundry room (it's by the garage door entry that we use) for fall/winter use and then when we don't need those things anymore I can just wheel it back to the closet. Just another attempt for me to be Martha organized *snort*

I FINALLY hung the address plate on the house. I have a legitimate excuse as to why it has taken me 10 months to do so.......the mason had to re-do the mortar on our brick and so it made no sense for me to hang it and then take it down, with ruined screws after putting them in mortar, and then find new screws to re-hang it. But alas it is up and looks nice, so I'm happy!

OH and I hung up these word art deals I got. They are from a place called Uppercase Living. They are like rub on transfers that go on your walls. Very cool! I swear I've had these in the back of a closet for MONTHS. But they are up and look so cute:

My kitchen & entryway also got a nice scrub on the tail end of that day's cleaning frenzy. I have to admit I rarely mop the entry because to be honest no one uses that entry LOL. At most it just needs a dusting or I run the vacuum over the floor hehe.

Then I wrapped up the week & weekend with a delicious ham dinner last night. Ham, sweet potatoes & fresh green beans DELISH!

So there you have it.......that's what I've been up to! Roman started swimming lessons today and I hope to get the kids in their Halloween costumes for some pictures, so look for those on here soon!
